Sokol Excavating was founded in 1989 by brothers, Paul and Raymond Sokol. In 1994, the brothers incorporated as Sokol Inc. Quality work has always been Sokol Inc's foundation. The company started with only 3 employees doing mostly residential work and some commercial sitework. Today, Sokol Inc has grown to over 35 experienced employees that do complete sitework packages from erosion and sedimentation control to finish concrete and paving. Sokol Inc's size enables it to provide customers with quality workmanship while completing projects on schedule at a reasonable price.

In 2000, the brothers expanded yet again to better serve their customers and attract new. Sokol Quarries Inc, in Stillwater PA, began operations as a PA DOT approved source for aggregate materials. The quarry produces crushed stone, sand, topsoil, antiskid, and shale. At Sokol's, safety is priority. Sokol Quarries Inc has been recognized for safety by the Mine Safety and Health Administration.
